Revenge Cat Print

Revenge Cat Print

This Risograph print is your daily reminder to smash the Patriarchy.

I’m so damn fed up I can’t even write a catchy description.

This kitty is a two color print in hot pink and black 11x17” on matte paper. This has been printed in a limited edition of 50 prints and is numbered and signed in pencil.

Buy one for each of your friends and enough to poster downtown.

What is a risograph?
Risograph printing was developed as a quick and inexpensive method for reproducing color copies in the late 80s. The machine looks like a copier but it is not - it is a duplicator (remember the old mimeograph machines of old?). The Risograph is an environmentally friendly and cost effective printer which uses soy-based inks to produce unique outcomes (each print is a little different). The underlying technology of a Risograph is very similar to that of screen printing. The original image file is sent to the machine and it is burnt onto a master, the master is then wrapped around a print drum. This drum then rotates at high speed which pushes the ink through the screen and onto the paper as it is sent through the machine. Each color requires a separate ink drum.

My prints are produced by Authorized To Work in Brooklyn, NY.
